These notes, issued by the Philippine National Bank, were printed at the United States Bureau of Engraving and Printing. During the American rule, the Philippine peso was fixed at fifty cents U.S. Other denominations include one peso (Chas. Conant), five pesos (McKinley), ten pesos (Washington), twenty pesos (Wm. A. Jones), fifty pesos (Lawton), one hundred pesos (Magellan). The last issue was five, ten and twenty pesos of 1937. They were withdrawn in 1948 and demonetized in 1949.
