Original 1940s wedding suit combo.
They came together and we would love for them to stay together.  Perfect for the vintage couple that wants to be the talk of the town.
She was a performer in an Andrews Sisters knock off group with her sisters.  We have sold a few of  her performance outfits.  She was a very fashion forward and fashion
conscious
lady.  He was just out of the Marine Corps having served in the Pacific during World War Two.
Condition is fantastic.  The woman's suit has no issues except the stuck zip. The men's suit was probably worn a few more times but shows virtually no wear and no issues that we can see.
We will include the photo of the couple on their wedding day.

This suit was still hung and pinned to the dry cleaners hanger from 1948!

Jacket has covered buttons and self welted button holes. Intricately designed basket weave pocket flaps and collar. Joan Crawford sized padded shoulders. Crepe silk lined.
Skirt has covered metal side zip with button tab closure. Short front split. Zip is stuck in the up position and does not appear to have any damage.  We don't want to force it.
Men's suit
Appears to also be custom tailored as there is no union label.
Double Breasted with one to button. No vent back. Inset self welt side pockets. Four button cuffs
Hollywood waist trousers with drop belt loops and no waist band. Double deep pleats. Watch pocket. V-notch back
